Tho Union Company's s.s. Hawea, Captain ?■ Kennedy, arrived in the hay yesterday morn■fing at day-light from Northern ports. She 1 was at. once . tendered-, by the Bella for passengers. -The Hawea left Auckland on :. the 15th inst. at 4 p.m., arrived at Tauranga -.-: the following day -at 7 a.m. j steamed South ■'■: again at 10 a.m., arriving at Poverty Bay at ; 9 a.m. on the 17th ; sailed again at 5 p.m., ■'. arriving here as. above, having experienced fine . Clyde, Captain Peterseu, steamed for the Wairoa yesterday morning about S ' o'clock. She had a good quantity of cargo and a few passengers. She will probably' return to this port this morning. The lighter Admiral loaded yesterday ex Celoeno from London, and was towed into ■: the minor harbor last evening, and moored at ;• the ' outer, where she will discharge her cargo. The schooner Sarah Pile, Alert, and Hannah Barrett are all discharging their respective .cargoes at the breakwater. The Union Company's s.s. Hotorua, Captain Tozer, is due here this morning from Melbourne via Southern ports, and is advertised to leave for Sydney via Northern ports at 4 p.m. She will take our portion of '■'■ •tho'butw.ard going 'Frisco mail to Auckland. It will be seen by the above that Captain Tozer, formerly of the s.s. Albion, has taken . ' command of" this fine steamer Kotorua, Captain Casey, her former commander, having proceeded ■ Home via Melbourne to bring \ out the company's new steamer To Auau.
