June 19, i 879. The natives belonging to this district have returned from the meeting at 3Jei Kopua. They do not appear to be satisfied with the result, as they had formed great expectations of an amicable settlement between the Government -and , Tawhiao. •■' ■ ■ ■* *'* The news from Taranaki received^ hVjfti last week caused a little excitement 1 among the natives.
