THE QUEEN IN DANGER.
La Gazclta del Pojpolo is responsible for a very sensational paragraph, nothing loss, in fact, than tho fears entertained by tlie Italian Government lost an attempt should bo made upon the life of the Queen of England. It enters into full particulars, and says that a few days before the Queen's arrival an anonymous letter was received at the British Embassy at Turin. It gave warning that the London Internationalists had determined to renew the attempt which had been discovered at Windsor some months ago, and that thoy had chosen the journey from tho French frontier to Turin, the latter place being the least suspected of the International taint. The British Ambassador and the Italian authorities took all the necossary steps against the danger, _ Tho number of carbineers was largely increased at all the stations along the line ; extraordinary patrols took place, and several detectives in plain clothes travelled in tho Queon's train. A locomotive was also sent on in advance, as it was feared that dynamite might have been laid along the line. The World remarks that it will take something more than such a sensational paragraph in an Italian paper to convince Englishmen that there can exist a conspiracy to attempt tho Queon's life. •
