THE CHARGE OF PERJURY AGAINST MR KINROSS.
In the Kinross perjury case on Saturday afternoon, Mr Roes wanted tho case adjourned till after the meeting of Parliament, because the clerks of the Legislative Council were unwilling to give evidence unless they obtained permission from tho Council. Mr Rees said a throat had been held out that he would be attached for contempt of Court were he to press the Council's clerks too much. Mr Travers would not consent to such a long postponement, and tho case was therefore adjourned to the 10th. June. Mr Eees hinted that he would fill up the time from the 10th June till the 11th July by calling witnesses, and would so gain his point.
