The a.s. Southern Cross, Captain Holander, arrived from Northern ports on Saturday morning. She is advertised to leave for the South to-day at 11 a.m. Owing to the heavy roll in the Bay the Silver Cloud has pat to sea until the weather moderates, to enable the lighters to get alongside to lighten her sufficiently to be brought inside the port. The Union Co's b.s. Lady Bird -will not arrive here until Wednesday next, instead of to-morrow, from Southern ports, aud will leave the same day for the North.

The >b. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, is due here this morning from Wellington. It is doubtful if she will be able to work on the coast on her -way north.
