GERMAN EMIGRANTS,

Sir,— In a local of this morning you do me the honor of referring to my intention of publishing a book, to serve ai a guide for emigrants from Germany,, and you conclude by saying" that you understand that the book is to be published under "authority of the German Government." I am not aware, sir, who has supplied you with the above information, but I can assure you that it is incorrect, at least with regard to the authority from the German Government. That Government has never encouraged. emigration, and is therefore not likely to require the publication of an "Emigrant's Guide," but even if it should require such a book, it is still less probable that it would entrust its publication to a man who has left the couutry, and ceased to be a German Bubject more than . 31 ' yeairs ago. — Yonrs, &c, ' C. Laren Weber.
