The s. s. Ladybird, Captain Malcolm, arrived in the bay yesterday morning at 4 o'clock, and was tendered at 6 a.m. by the Bella for passengers and cargo. The Ladybird left again for the South yesterday at noon. The 8.8. Clyde, Captain Petersen, armed yesterday morning from the Wairoa. Captain Pefcersen reports the bar at Wairoa very shallow. The s.B. Sir Donald, Captain Watson, took off a load of wool yesterday to the Mendoza. The Maid of the Mill also took off a load to the same ship. The 8.8. Result, Capt. Baxter, was launched off Mr Northe's slip yesterday morning, after baying been thoroughly overhauled, painted, &c. We understand she is to be laid on tho berth for Wairoa. The Union s.b, Hawea, Captain Kennedy, is due hero on Tuesday next. She will no doubt bring up our portion of the San Francisco mail. The natives who came up by the Manaia to attend the late tangi were busy yesterday "in getting their goods on board that steamer, in hopes of getting away for Wairoa last night. The Manaia had not, however, left last night when our report left the Spit.
