The properties (with the exception of about five miles, where natural boundaries exist) are completely and substantially fenced iv with a good seven-wire fence. There is also a sub-dividing fence, and a number of smaller paddockß, in all fifty miles of fencing. The Awatere river forms a natural boundary to the northern portion of the run i which is abundantly watered by that river, Flaxbourne, the Medway, the Ure, and other streams.
