Driver reports for the week ending March 19, as follows— For cattle : 187 head were yarded, about half of which were good prime quality, the rest medium and good stores. Competition was rather languid, but for really prime beef prices ruled about the •ame as last week j 14 yarded were sold at from 15s to 30s each. Fat sheep : The number penned for to-day's market waß 2113 ; cross- , breds brought up to Us 3d each ; we quote mutton fully 2d per lb. Fat lambs : 475 penned j we sold 143 at 6s to 7s 3d each. Store sheep: We have buyers for a large number of young merinos, but at present thece are none offering ; quotations for full-mouthed merinos and cross-breds remain unaltered. During the week we sold 1500 store cattle.
