EXPECTED ARRIVALS.

Rotorua, s.s., from Sydney, via Auckland Hawea, s.s., from Southern ports Kiwi, 8.5., from Wellington Taupo, s.s., from Northern ports Rangatira, s.s., from Wellington Tararua, s.s,. from Southern ports Mendosa, ship, from London Chile, ship, from London Aeadia, schooner, from Mercury Bay The s.s, Rangatira, Captain Evans, arrived yesterday^ morning from Poverty Bay, she having been detained at that port a day longer than anticipated. The Bella took the outward passongers off to her at 11 a.m. yesterday, and the Rangatira steamed South at once. Mr A. Dowell has been appointed by Messrs Murray, Common and Co. to tho command of the s.s. Mohaka. The s.s. Wanaka, Captain M'Qillivray, arrived in the bay yesterday morning at 9 a.m. and was teudered at once by the Sir Donald, the Bella taking tho passengers as usual. The passengers for the South were taken off the launch at noon yesterday, and the Wanaka left at once. The barque Avona, Captain Martin, cleared at the Customs yesterday for London with the following cargo : —

—The Avona appears to be in excellent sailing trim, and will no doubt make a good passage home. She had not got underwoigh last evening when our report left the Spit. The s.s. Sir Donald dischavged the whole of her cargo yesterday afternoon ex Wanaka. Tho C.Gh b.b. Hinemoa, Captain Fairchild, is due here to-morrow with our portion of the San Francisco mail. The s.s. Clyde, Captain Peteraen, was to have sailed at 4 o'clock this morning with a full complement of passengers and cargo.
