A Mitchell Downs runholder has sent me(".3Bgles") something to ahow that the squatters are npt all bad fellows— a conclusion in which I readily concur. The " rules of the shed " announce that the day after shearing is finished prizes will be given to the winners by the undersigned, if won — " so get yourselves very fit." There are prizes for the three best shearers in point of excel lence, absorbing £6, and nine prizes, a mounting to £11, for boxing, wrestling, running, &c. The inducements answer ed well, and the men did their work eh eerfully. I can imagiue that £6 as an incentive would be money well spent in s ecuring good shearing of, perhaps, 50,000' sheep.
