The fielding was very good indeed, several good drives being so well fielded that two 1 runs were all the batsmen were enabled to take, while no byes appeared on the scoring sheet. The innings closed for 29 runs, Bristy (captain) and 'Willis contributing 15 between them. The Port Ahuriri Club played an excellent innings for 129 runs, Ellison, J. Irvine, and •~* Dewes being the highest scorers. The Tradesmen in their second innings only succeeded in adding 21 runs to their former score, making the total for both innings only 50. The Port Ahuriri Club thus won in one innings, with 79 runs to spare. Appended are the scores : — TRADESMEN.
