In consequence of the unsettled state of the weather, .the lighters were unable to discharge their cargoes yesterday. They will, however, discharge to-day, if: the weather is at aU fine. The cutter Rapid, Capt. Ferney, has been out in the bay fishing since yesterday morning. We have not heard whether Captain Ferney has made a haul or not. We have not heard whether the s.s. Mohaka has succeeded in getting into Mohaka. The barquentine Falcon, Captain J. Hair, will finish discharging her cargo of coal this morning. She will take in her ballast and sail for Newcastle, N.S.W., on Wednesday. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, arrived in the roadstead late on Sunday night. She sailed fram Wellington last Friday at- 6 p.m., arrived at Castle Point early next morning, discharged about 30 tons of cargo, and left same night, and arrived as above. She was brought inside yesterday at noon and moored to the outer wharf. Her cargo for Napier is . principally transhipment ex Abiona, now at Wellington. We have been favored with a perunal of the Union Steamship Company's time table for September, and from it we gather that the managing director has fulfilled hi 3 promisetothepetitionersreSundaysteamers. We notice that the last two steamers in the month will arrive and be despatched from here on Saturday, the 2 let* and 28th, arriving in Wellington on Sunday, We also note that the s.s. Wakatipu, which was advertised to leave Wellington for Sydney on the 31st inst,, has been altered to the 3rd September, and we are requested to notify to intending passengers that they must leave here by the s.s. Taupo on the Ist September, in time to catch her. We are also requested to note that the last two steamers in the August time table have been reversed, and that the next boat from the South will therefore be the Hawea, followed by the Wanaka. The lighter Admiral is still out in the bay loading ex Kentish Tar. The s.a. Fairy, Captain John Campbell, is having her repairs pushed forward as much as possible. She will no doubt come off the slip the latter part of this week, and load for the coast.
