The third and last Easter /match; 'was played on the 22nd inst. at Waipukurau, between the above clubs, which "restilted in a victory for Porangahau by 'eight wickets and three xxaaai , Waipuktir^u.; ' r went to the wickets first, and sent in ' Gaisford : and Frood^.tq the 'bowling of* Humphreys and G. i: Orosse. : Gaisford -•< "■>' played a careful innings for 14, but the rest had to succumb to the splendid bowling of Crosse and Humphreys, par- : r ticularly of the latter, who got. four wickets in one over for noruns.:':Poran- .' gahau then sent Warren and T. Orosse, to the bowling of Moore and Gaisford, who ;< ran the score up rapidly to lfy when Crosse was caught by Martin off Gaisford. Humphreys then took the vacant place, but soon had to retire, being. caught by; :• Carr off the same bowling. 0. Herbert ~ waa the only man who obtained doubly < figures. After an interval of 15 minutes^ ' Waipukurau sent Frood and Friltbn to the bowling of Humphreys.and T. Croßse, but they were all soon disposed of ; with tie', exception of Butt, who made a good score *' of 13 by a' fine display of cricket, ibeing not out in either innings.
