■ ♦ Herald Office, Friday evennig. Mr H. MoNTEira reports that the sale of Messrs Tucker and Harwood's stock, etc., at Makaretu, ou the 3rd instant, attracted a large number of buyers, and the bidding was unusually spirited, especially for cattle, for which the following prices were obtained : — Dairy cowa, medium, £8 to £10 ; superior, £12 to £14 ss ; yearling heifers, £4 5s to £6 ; heifer calves, 3 to 4 months' old, 30s to 57s 6d. .
