RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, WAIPAWA.

Tuesday, February 12. (Before R. Beothara, Esq., R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. John McDonald appeared to a charge of drunkenness. Being his first offence before the Court;, he was fined ss. TUCKER V. HANSEN. Mr Lee put in a deed of assignment from Breuer to plaintiff, a claim of £14 11s 6d being scheduled therein against the defendant, who admitted that he was indebted to Breuer to the amount of £13 15s 4d, for which judgment was given, by consent, with costs of Court, £1 19s, and allowance for plaintiff, including solicitor's fee, £2 15s. NICHOLS V. TINA (a NATIVE). A claim for £5 3s for stores. Case dismissed, neither party appearing. ALIADICE V. RUSSELL, A claim of £33 ss, for timber supplied. Mr Rees, of Napier, appeared for Mr Russell, and stated that in consequence of Mr Russell's ill-health he had not received full instructions, and asked for an adjournment, which was granted by the Court. Costs allowed to the plaintiff, £2. Adjourned to 12th March next. DUNCAN AND CO. V. PHILLIPS. A claim of £9 19s 4d, for stores account. No appearance of plaintiffs. Case struck out. The remaining cases, including two Maori summonses, were settled out of Court before being called on for hearing.
