THE WAITOA STATION, UPPER THAMES, FREEHOLD. The undersigned has been favored with instructions to sell by public auction at his mart, Queen-street, on Thursday, the 28th February next, at noon, the Estate situate at the Upper Thames, known as THE WAITOA STATION, consisting of WaihekauNo. 1 and part of No. 2, containing 3664 acres. This property is universally acknowledged to be the best piece of land in the whole district. The whole Block is substantially fenced. Six hundred and fifty (650) acres are laid down in grass, which is not surpassed by any in the Provincial District of Auckland. The main line of road from Hamilton, Waikato, to Grahamstown, Thames, passes through the property ; also, the proposed line of railway from Waikato to the Thames. This property is situated within four miles of the head of the navigation of the Thames or Waihou River, and adjoins the celebrated Broomhall Settlement Block, known as Te Aroha. Steamers now run regularly between the Thames, Ohinemuri, and Te Aroha. There is a good dray-road from Wairoa to the landing-place at Te Aroha. Stock can be driven to the Ohinemuri Goldfield, distant twenty miles, and to the Thames Goldfield, a distance of fifty miles.
