Mails Close at the Chief Post Office as follows :— For Gisborne, Tauranga, and Auckland, per s.s. V\ anaka, this day (Friday), at 4 p.m. For Wellington, Southern provinces, and Australian Colonies, pers.s. Rangatira, to-morrow, 4 p.m. For Fiji, Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, the 2nd February, at 0 p.m. J> ■ For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c. , via Suez and Brindisi, by every opportunity to Wellington, where the mail closes on the 10th February. For Tauranga, Auckland, &c.,viaTaupo by coach, every Tuesday, at 4.30 p.m. For the undermentioned places every Monday and Thursday at 5.30 a.m. :— Clive, Hastings, Havelock, Te Ante, Kaikora, Waipawa, Waipukurau, Danovirk Norsewood, Tahoarite, Woodville, Foxton, Palmerston, Wariganui, Taranaki, Wellington and Southern Provinces, &0., Wallingford, Porangahau, Wainui, and Castle Point.
