[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] GISBORNE, June 16. The nominations for Mayor, councillors and auditors for the Borough of Gisborne, took place to-day. Messrs W. W. Wilson, Crawford and Berry were nominated for the office of Mayor. Messrs Brooke Taylor, Kelly, Brown, Crawford, Nasmith, Morgan, Smith, Adair, Tutcher, Stevenson, Teat, Stubbs, Adams, Boylan, Townley, Best, Clayton, Ross, and Cooper were nominated candidates for the Council. Messrs Tucker and Warren were the only candidates for auditors, and they were therefore declared elected. Great excitement is anticipated at the elections for Mayor and Councillors.

Auckland, June 16. The Zealandia arrived this morning, with the English and American mails. She left San Francisco on the 23rd. Passengers for New Zealand — H. A. Duff, E. Graham, C. H. Lenaner, O'Neill, Allen, Mrs Murdoch, and 9 steerage.
