Mails Close at the Chief Post Office as follows : — For Port Chalmers, per s.s. Jane Douglas, this day, at 3 p.m. For Wairoa, per s.s. Result, this day, at 4 p.m. For Wairoa, per p.s. Manaia, this day, at 4 p.m. For Fiji, Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, &c. via San Francisco, on Monday, 4th June, at 8 a.m., per Kotorua. Money orders and registered letters will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, 2nd June, and books and newspapers at 9 p.m. on Saturday. For the undermentioned places every Monday and Thursday at 5.30 a.m. :— Clive, Hastings, Havelock, Te Aute, Kaikora, Waipawa, Waipukurau, Danevirk, Norsewood, Tahoarite, Woodville, Foxton, Palmerston, Wanganui, Taranaki, Wellington and Southern Provinces, &c., Wallingford, Porangahau, Wainui, and Caatlo Point.
