In Mexico t was engaged in the taking of Puebla. i.t Froeschviller, ''in the last war, fortyeven officers and 1008 privates of the egiment fell on the field of battle ; the Übris were at Sedan, Coulmiers, and >ther engagements. During the nineteen fears of its existence no less than 5000 •rivates and 200 officers of this gallant egimjbnt have fallen in battle.
