MESSRS. MARGOLIOUTH AND BANNER'S REPORT.

Herald Office, April 28, 1577. Messrs Makgoliotjth and Baxxer report a very large attendance at their sale at the Taradale Saleyards yesterday, and the prices realised were very good, the bidding being very spirited. About 80 head of cattle, 20 horses, and about 20 pigs were yarded, the yards being very convenient for the sale of stock. They quote as follows : — Dairy cows, from £7 7s to £12 12s ; heifers, from £5 5s to £7 7s ; steers, from £3 os to to £7 10s ; hacks, from £4 4s to £S Ss ; light harness horses, £S Ss to £10 10s ; draught horses, £15 to £25 ; pigs, barrows from £1 10s to £3, sows £2 to £7. A litter of young pigs were quoted at 10s each. A mob of 10 unbroken colts and fillies were sold at £5 10s each.
