THE NAPIER HOSPITAL.
Sir, — We, the undersigned, who are at present inmates of the Napier Hospital, were utterly astonished at the imputations 1 cast at the officials of that establishment ; in the Hawke's Bay Heraxd of this : morning, and in contradiction we wish to ; testify to the public that the kindness received by us at the hands of Mrs and 1 Mr Raven, also the Hospital assistant, is in fact almost more than we could expect. As for the punctuality in attending and carrying out the doctor's orders, nothing could be more so. As regards the food, ' it is good and plentiful, and is varied as the patient or the disease may require. — We are, Sir, James Charles Briden, Charles Frederick Eggert, Henry Spencer, Robert Wiggins, Martin Hardiman, Michael Leahy, HIS William X Jarvis, M.VUK Sarah Henderson. Napier Hospital, April 18. Sir, — In reference to the above, I beg to say that the statement made and certified by their signatures was not forced upon" them, but was spontaneous, and unanimously expressed to James Anderson, Esq., one of the Hospital Committee. — I am, &0. , ■ Charles Ravex, Master Napier Hospital.
