HMHE following is an extract from "Le A Figaro/ under the heading " L'lndustrie Fwngaise a Philadelphia:" — "Passing on to Brandies, we find the name of Boutelleau and Co., of Barbezieux. Thia important house, founded in 1849, by a society with a capital of two millions, is known in the United States under the name of Vineyard Proprietors Company, and in ether countries under that of Champagne Vineyard Proprietors Company. Boutelleau and Co., the clevor administrators of this Society, established it with the idea of encouraging the sale of the country's produce, which forma a considerable figure in the business with the United states, England, India, and Australia, nor is it leas astonishing that this brand passed immediately ia the first line after Mnrtell and Hennessy. The proprietors of this brand in France are certain persons having a fine produce of a superior qnality. To foreigners, aud especially in the English colonies, where they make use of Brandy as a medicinal i emedy, this brand is particularly rocommended by doctors.
