Mails Close at the Chief Post Office as follows : — For Gisborne and Auckland, per s.s. Pretty Jane, this day, at 1 p.m. For Wairoa, per Manaia, this day, at 7 p.m. For the undermentioned places every Monday and Thursday at 5.30 a_iu. :— Clive, Hastings, Havolock, Te Aute, Kaikora, Waipawa, Waipukuruu, Dauevirk, Xorsewood, Tahoarite, Wooi'.vil'e, Koxton, Paluicrston, Wan^-amii, Taranaki, Wellington and Southern Provinces, &c, Wallhmford, Poraiiyahau, Waimii, and Castle Point. On the other days of the week, mails close as usual, at 0.30 a.m. J. GRUBB, Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Jfapier, April 14, 1577.
