EXPECTED ARRIVALS.

The s.s. Rangatira, Captain Evans, left for Wellington at 4.30 p.m. yesterday. She has on board a miscellaneous free and duty paid cargo, and several bales of wool. The s.s. Jane Douglas left at 5 p.m. yesterday for Poverty Bay. She is in ballast. The schooner Albatross arrived from Wangapoua at 4 o'clock yesterday morning. She left Wangapoua on Monday, the 9th mstant, at 6 p.m., with a strong southerly wind, which continued until her arrival off Ea3t Cape, when the wind lefb her altogether. She lay becalmed from midday on Tuesday until 10 o'clock on Wednesday morning. When off Portland Island the wind came fresh from the southward. She beat across the bay, and arrived as above. She has a cargo of 60,000 feet of timber for Mr B. Johnston. She brought a fine carvel-built "whaleboat, which is for sale. The, s.s. Sir Donald is ready for sea, and is awaiting a favorable opportunity to proceed to Moeangiangi. The s.s. Fairy is loaded, and will leave for Pourerere as soon as there is a favorable change of weather. The s.s. Pretty Jane left Auckland for Napier on Tuesday last. She is advertised to leave here for Poverty Bay and Auckland about Monday next. The steam launch Bella is under repair. She is having a portion of a new rail fitted, and also some improvements made in her machinery. The lighter Why-not lias been hove down, and had her bottom thoroughly coated with tar.
