Money is firm, and there is a tendency to an increase in money seeking employment. Bank minimum 2^. Mercantile failures are numerous. Pboduce Mabkets— The arrivals of tallow throughout the month have been large and steady, and.the purchases regular. Hides have declined. Leather is in good request at extreme rates. Bucks have advanced. New Zealand flax in good demand for medium and fine qualities ; no demand for inferior.
