The schooner Murewai will be clearing at the Custom house directly for Poverty Bay. The Hero, schooner, will be leaving for Wairoa shortly ; also the schooner Three Brothers and ketch Why Not for the same place. The s.s. Storm Bird, Doile, left for Wellington last Sunday evening. The Gothenburg arrived at Hokitika from Melbourne on the 25th. ■ Tho Omeo sailed from Wellington for Hokitika on the 27th. Tlio following is a list of tbo cargo of the Star of the South from Auckland, viz., (goods under bond) 2 cases cigars, order. Goods free and duty paid — 2 packages, 7 packages, Neal and Close ; 1 paokago, Sargent ; 2 tons biscuits, Stuart and Co. ; 4 tons biscuits. Peacock nnd Co. ; 53 pkgs harness, 4 pinions, Tuxford ; 1 bag 1 parcel, Williams ; 1 parcel, Cosgrove ; 4 casks, 10 cases oranges, Mauoy ; 2 packages, Robinson ; 20 casks, 4GOO pcs timber, Watt Bros. ; 1 case, Eochfort ; 2 packages, Russell ; 2 packages, Tanner ; 1 paokage, Lyndon ; I package, Tiffen ; 2 packages, Jackson. Passenger — Mr. Walker.— Watt Bros., agents.
