At a meeting of the Chamber of. Commerce to consider the subject, the following resolutions were adopted : — " Resolved, That the Chamber of- Commerce of San Francisco regards with the deepest interest the proposition for the establishment of a steam service between Australia and the South Pacific Islands, and the port of San Francisco.
