Miscellaneous.
We are now expecting five steamers from the north. Probably the Airedale will have arrived last night, and left again for Welling, ton. Tbe paddle- steamer Coomerang left our port last Tuesday, with a valuable cargo of cattle for the Thames, direct. We understand that the above vessel will be kept in the trade if sufficient inducement offers. The schooner Kauri also cleared, and left the satue morning for Auckland. Sbe will most probably return to this port from Auckland. The s.s. Bangatira is expected from Wellington, and no doubt will be the bearer of the Napier portion of the English mail, now due here. The schooner Hero is taken off the berth for the purpose of being overhauled.
