Wednesday, April 13. A prospectobs' application was made on Monday for a new reef at Wangapeka, a mile distant from Culliford's, and exceeding it in richness. There is great excitement at the township. Tbe prospectors' have been watched and shepherded all iii*rdt by miners. Reports about Culliford's claim, received from trustworthy sources, say that it is very rich. The prospects of Wanf a - peka are greatly improved. Mr. Sewell sails for Wellington per Tararua to-day.
