The favorite cattle trading s.s. Star of the

South may shortly be expected from Aucklaud. The ketch Wild Duok will, weather permitting, proceed to Poverty Bay to-morrow ; from thence will return to this port. The schooner Kauri may be expected today from Wellington, having left that port last Tuesday. The schooner Three Brothers is still in the Wairoa river, waiting a favorable opportunity to get out. The N.Z S.N. Co.'s b,b. Wellington maybe expected to arrive here next Sunday, and, no doubt, will be the bearer of the Napier portion of the English mail now due. The N.Z.S.N. Co.'s a.s. Rangatira will leave to-day for Poverty Bay and Auckland. She was the bearer of a large miscellaneous cargo from Wellington and South.
