Arrival of the s.s. Wellington.
The favorite Wellington left Auckland at 2 pm. on Saturday last, with strong easterly winds and a h^avy sea, which continued across the Bay of Plenty. Hounded East Cape on the 6th, at 3 30 'p.m., and thence experienced floe weather arid smooth water. Arrived in the roadstead at 5.30 a.m. yesterday. ■•'.•_ Captain Holmes reports sighting, off East Cape, a topsail schooner, steering westerly ; also the s.s. Star of the South as having, left Auckland on the morning of Saturday last, ■ bound for this port, with the bulk of the mail and a general cargo. ' The NJi!s.N, Co 's s.a. Wellington left here for Wellington, yesterday afternoon. She took several passengers from this port. The five ship Chile, now lyiujj in our waters, is shipping her wool very rapidly. We predict a speedy departure for this vessel. The barque K. T. Turubull, now in havbor, may be fully expected to leave this week. The clipper schooner Success left yes! eTd ay for her destination, after waiting some time for a favorable opportunity. The Star of tbe South, having left Auckland lust Saturday morning, may be looked for this morning.
