Operations in short cattle, have been restricted, owing to, graziers being unwilling to purchase largely, until there is a more decided break in the present dry weather. There were , some heavy showers on Tuesday last, and, consequently, vendors anticipated ah advance, and were unwilling, to sell at; current rates^ consequently transactions at our Tuesday's sale were not so nu tnerous as they would otherwise have been, A large number of fat beasts were penned, 'which! sold at late rates, the preference, j being given to i .
