AttTESfAN Well. — -A spirited attempt is being made by Mr. 11. Williams, Hustingsstreet, to sink an Artesian well on his premises. He has employed Lord and party, who commenced work on Thursday last. They found the driving very hard after getting 40 feet down, but afterwards it wus much easier, and they have now attained a depth of 65 feet Dr. Hector returned to Wellington by the Wellington steamer, on Friday last. It is understood that ho i.-s likely to return in March next.
