DEPARTURE OF THE TROOPS.
H.M. S. Virago was to leave Auckland ou the 14th'inst,, with four companies of the 18 th Royal Irish for Australia. The Claude Hamilton was to leave Taranaki on the 18th insfc., for Melbourne direct, with the detachment stationed there. ' * H.M. S. Rosario is under orders to convey the Napier and Wanganui detaohments to Auckland, and is daily expected here. It was originally intended to forward the ■ women and children, as well as the bulk of the baggage, by the Rangatira yesterday, but they are now kept for next opportunity, I probably the Star of the South.
