Entrance 2 soys. RULES. The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club Rules' will be strictly adhered to. For weights for age, see published Rules. No person shall be allowed to enter a horse for any race except the Hack Race, unless he be a subscriber to the race fund of Three Sovereigns, or if he be a member of the Club he shall subscribe One Sovereign. The first race to start on each day at one o'clock precisely. The bell will be rung quarter of an hour before each race. Three horses to start in each race, or only half the public money will be given, Second horse to save his stake in eaoh race when public money is given, except the Consolation. All entries_-to_be_made trader sealed cover, with the exception of the Town Plate, and to be addressed to the Secretary, at Swan's Hotel, Napier, on Friday, 25th February, 1870, not later than 4 p.m. Age and description of horses, and colours of riders, to be stated at time of entry.
