Are favored with instructions t> sell by auction, at Meanee Sale Yards,on Wednesday, the 3rd day of Novenber next, at 2 o'clock p.m., — 9 HEAD of superior young DIAUGHT HORSES, broken and parially broken, the property of, and bred br, Messrs. Canning and Russell. In announcing this sale, it is necessary to state that the Horses are the pxtduce of first-class Mares, and got by he wellknown sires " Conqueror, " " Milo, " "Maui," and "Colonist." Will be on view at Meanee tiree days previous to the sale, in Mr. Peacock's paddock. The attention of Farmers, Car/iers, and Shippers is particularly requested to this sale. Also, 300 well-bred Ewes and Lambs 20 Rams 80 Fat Wethers 100 half-bred Wethers, 2-tooth, in their wool. In addition to the above, there will be offered about 30 head of well-bred Cattle, consisting of Cows, Heifers, and Steers, about equal sexes. I HEREBY give.notice that the District hereinafter described, and situated in the Province of Hawke's Bay, lying within the following boundary: — The sea coast from the mouth of River Esk or Waiohinganga to the mouth of the River Waikare ; thence the said River Waikare to a point distant nine miles in a direct line from its mouth; thence a straight line drawn North-West, true bearing, till it intersects the Northern Boundary of the said Province ; thence the said Northern Boundary to its Western extremity; thence the Western Boundary of the said Province to its intersection with the River Mohaka; thence down the said River to the mouth of the Inangatahi, following up that stream to the Southern edge of the Pohui Bush ; thence to the road known as Marshall's bridle track : thence by that track to the River Esk ; and thence by that river to its mouth ; is brought under the operation of Clause 4 of the *< Public Houses Act, 1868," and that any fermented or spirituous liquors imported into that district without a permit will be forfeited to her Majesty.
