Mr. Fielder, whose intended departure for InvercavgLll we lately noticed, will now, under altered arrangements, remain in Napier as Clerk to the Registrar of Deeds. The English Mail is announced to close this evening at 5 o'clock. It is cxi i pectedthat a supplementary mail will be made up on Saturday morning, but it will ; . be safer to post everything to-day. The Weather since Tuesday has been magnificent. A falling gloss, however, denotes a change, probably the approach of more southerly weather. Consequent on , late rains, the country is looking its very best.
