WELLINGTON.
Monday, Oct. 18. The report of the :.New Zealand Steam Navigation Company has been issued. The profit from all sources shewn for the last half year is £622. The agency of the Melbourne boats nets a profit of £670, so that the actual profit from the running of the company's own boats is unfortunately less than nothing. The Governor's delegation to Dr. Featherston in connection with the KaimanaWa gold fields, has been sent to Auckland- for his signature. The extinguishment of the native title over the Manawatu Block has been gazetted. The Governor and Mr. M'Lean left Auckland last Friday for Kaipara. The natives are quiet in Waikato. Owing to the impossibility of selling mining shares, the Thames miners are setting to work attheir claims again, stopped by the late fever of speculation.
