Star of thu .South, e.s., for Auckland, immediately on arrival The s.s. Wellington left Auokland at 4 p.m. on Saturday last, for this port ; experienced fine weather and smooth water throughout the passage, and arrived in the roadstead yesterday morning at 6 o'olook, The fine paddle-steamer Coomerang having changed hands, it is probable she may put in an appearanoe here. She now belongs to Mr. Buckland, of Auokland, and runs down to Poverty Bay. The favorite and fast cattle steamer Star of the South was announced to leave Auckland on Saturday last, at 6 p.m., calling at Turanga, and may be expeoted here to-day. The barque R. T, Turnbull, now 100 days out from England, ought to make her appearanoe. The Cambodia, bound for London from Auckland, took in her last bale of flax, ko,, on Friday last. The brigantines Shepherdess and Esther are now loading at Wellington for this port. A searching shed is to be erected by the Provincial Government, for tbe Customs authorities, at the end of the new wharf. Tbe N.Z.S.N. Co.'s s.s. Wellington left this port yesterday, for Wellington and South. The s.s. Airedale, Capt. Kennedy, arrived in the Manukau on Saturday last, 9th inßt,, from Southern ports, with a full general oargo and 94 passengers. She was also the bearer of the English mail for Auokland.
