A New Zealand ' Gazette issued on Saturday last announces that. John Daviea Orinond, Esq., has been elected Superintendent of Hawke's Bay ; that his Excellency has been pleased to cancel the commission held by Lieut. W. S. Green, Poverty Bay Mounted R.V., fov absence from the district without leave ; and that Samuel Locke, Esq., has been appointed Resident Magistrate for the Districts of Taupo, Wairoa, and Waiapu.
