Hawke's Bay Cricket Ci-ub. — A meeting of this club was called for Saturday evening, by Mr. E, 0. Milner, the hon. secretary, to consider some important matters. It was hoped there would be a good attendance, but owing, we presume, to the inclemency of the weather, the number of gentlemen who mustered at Swan's Hotel was so small that the meeting lapsed. This is much to be regretted. There are in Napier all the elements of a first-class club, and we hope, now the cricketing season has arrived, that the Hawke's Bay Cricket Club will take the field, and by vigorous practice attain skill in this one of the finest of English field sports. .
