"Credit Act, 1869," "Appropriation Act, 1869," "Artesian Well Act, 1869," "Lighthouse ßeserve Leasing Act, 1869/ " Immigration Board Act, 1869," were passed by the Provincial Oouncil of Hawke's Bay during this session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor's pleasure :— Now, therefore, I, Joseph Rhodes, De-puty-Superintendent of the Province of . Hawke's Bay, do hereby proclaim and notify that the abbvementioned Acts have been duly laid before His Excellency the Governor, and, having received his assent, are, under, the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly before referred' toy in force within the Province of Hawke's Bay from the date of this Proclamation. At the Government House,' at Wellington) / this twenty-first day of July, 1869. ' -' Present: His Excellency the Governor in Council. Whereas by the "Petty Sessions-Act, 1865," it is enactod that the Governor, from time to time, .by Order in Council, whereof notice *shall,. be. published in the New Zealand ■ Gazette,, may constitute .and define districts within and for wlxich Courts of Petty Sessions shall be held, and such districts or any of them may from time to time, in manner aforesaid, abolish, an<l the boundaries thereof may define and alter: And whereas, by an Order in Council bear-] , ing date* the twenty-second day of July, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, the Waipaoa District was constituted and defined under the said Act, and it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the said district ; ... Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance and exercise of tho power and authority in him vested for this purpose, doth hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the :• Colony, abolish the District of Waipaoa so . ■ defined as aforesaid, and doth hereby constitute and define the district following to be a district within and for which Courts of Petty Sessions shall be held fbr the purposes of the said Act; that is to say~ Province op Hawke's Bay. Waipaoa District. - This district is bounded as follows ;— Commencing at Mount Park oh the Ruahine Eange by a line nearly due East, to the west point of the Kereru Bush, skirting the southern boundary of the said bush to the boundary of Smith's and Cariypn's Runs; by the said boundary to the source of the Manga-o-noku Stream, following the Jtfa-nga-o-nuku down stream till it intersects ; the road leading from Maraekakaho to Hampden; thence in an easterly direction to the northern point of the Raukawa Bush; thence due East to the Tuki Tuki River^ near Ngawhakatatara; thence, following . up the Tuki Tuki to Tamumu, crossing that river and, proceeding up to Mangamahakj and the Mangarouhi; thence along the Mangarouhi to the southern boundary t of the Hapuku Block, along that line in a westerly direction to the northern edge of the Forty-Mile Bush, along the edge to-the '; Makaretu River to its source in the Rua- • hine Range; thence along the western boundary of the Province of Hawke's Bay to the starting point.
