AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.

(Reports to Friday, July 30.) MESSRS. HUNTER AND CO. REPORT Sales of fat stock were effected at Newmarket on July 26, ss under. Store oattle, £5 10s to £8 ; yearlings, £3 7s 6d to £4 10s ; 2 year-olds, £s 10 to £8 5s ; beef, 40s to 45s per 100 lbs. Fat Sheep half-bred 21s to 28s 6d ; Store Bheep 148 9d. Pigs in good supply and good prices realized. MESSRS. CAREY AND GILLIES REPORT That during tbe week an unusually large supply of fat stock was brought forward, and prices, in consequence, declined. On Wednesday, the 28th, they disposed of 110 head fat cattle, which realized good prices, considering the large supplies in the market— prices realizing from 345. to 38s, per lOOlbs. for Provinoial, Sheep from Wanganui sold at Gd. per lb. On Thursday fat cattle were considerably lower in consequence of the previous day's supply, and did not realize within 4s. or ss. per lOOlbs. of Wednesday's sale. Sheep were also lower in value. MR. A. BUCKLAND REPORTS Sales at Remuera on Thursday, the 29th, when dairy cows were lower in value, young cattle were in demand and fully maintained late prices. The fat cattle penned were many of them of secondary quality only, prices were lower than last week about 5s the 100 lbs. 85 head sold. A large market of sheep met with a steady sale. Store long-wooled hog. gets brought lfis, half«bred yearlings, 13s 6d to 15s. Fat shearling wethers from 23s to 31s Gd, averaging 265. i Pigs were in moderate supply, and unless well-bred, easier in price, 7
