LrROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. J Friday, July 9. A discovery of a quartz reef is reported on Banks' Peninsula; Fair specimens have been brouglnV.tp town. Judge Gresson, Mr. Bowen R.M., Mr. Deßourbel, and Mr. Reynell, purchased 120 acres of waste land in the locality, after the discovery was. made known by them. At a large and influential meeting held here to-day, it was resolved that a company be formed to prospect the country ; shares to be £5 each, £,1 of call to be paid down. There is at present great excitement, but advise no one to leave your province till more satisfactory information is sent.
