PROJECTED DEPARTURES.

Wellington, s.s. for Wellington, 9th Charlotte, schooner, for Kaiapoi, early St. Kilda, s.s., for Wairoa Mahia, cutter, for Waimarama and coast

The ketch Wild Duck, Martin, took her departure for Auckland and coast oa Saturday. She was towed from the Iron Pot to the roadstead by the s.s. St. Kilda. . The schooner Murewai, Jones, sailed for Wairoa on Saturday. I 'EheN.Z.S.'N. Co.'s s.s. Eangatira, Rennor, arrived at the anchorage at 10 a.m. on Sunday. She left Auckland on Thursday, Ist inst., at 3.30 p.m., and rounded East Cape at 3 p.m. on 2nd ; put into Wangawehi at 11 p.m. on Saturday, 3rd, in consequence of the heavy sea and wind outside Portland Island. The St. Kilda, about the same time, was off Wairoa, where there was scarcely any wind, but there was a very heavy soa rolling in, proving that the wind was southerly outside, although S.W. in the bay. The Rangatira left Wangawelu at 3 a.m. on Sunday, and arrived as above, having experienced strong gales with heavy sea throughout the passage. She steamed for Wellington at 4.20 p.m. The Colonial Government gunboat s.s. St. Kilda, Fox, arrived in the roadstead at 10 jvwl on Saturday, and entered the Iron Pot at nowrun Suuday. The St. KHUa left the roadstead for Wairoa on Saturday ut 11,15 a.m. with stores; J. D. Ormond, Esq., acting agent for the General Government, was on board. Experienced much southerly swell after leaving the anchorage ; arrived off Wairoa at 4 p.m., and was signalled from the pilot-station that landing was not safe; stood within two miles of the beach when the sea occasionally broke ; communicated by signals until dark, when, finding no chance of landing, and the soa increasing, steamed back to this port, and arrived as above. The Charlotte left Kaiapoi at 2 p.m. on June 7 ; was off the Kaikouras with a S.W. breeze on the Bth, and Stephen's Island on tho 9th, when she experienced a strong gale from the S.E. ; was off Blind Bay on tho 10th, becalmed: passed Cape Farewell on the 11th, the Steoples on tho 12th, and arrivod off Greymouth, and crossed the bar on thelSth; having discharged and taken iv a cargo of coals lor Kaiapoi, left Greywouth at 8 a.m. on the 2l si »iU>uS.E. breeze; on 22nd, wind veered round <> JVJi. blowing a gale; on 23rd, olf Fox River; on 24th, hove to off Bock Point, in consequence of tho wind having increased and veered round to S.E. ; was off Stephen's Island on 80th; on Ist July, off the Kaikoras witli a strong gale from the northward; during the day the wind veered to,. with a very heavy sea ; hove the vessel to in consequence s at 8 p.m. on 2nd a heavy sea broke oo i>oard, bursting tho mainsail, carrying away the galley, breaking the bulwarks, and sweeping the deck; on Saturday, still blowing hard, made sail and ran for this port, the weather being very thick, and tho captain not caring to run for Wellington. The Charlotte will leave for Kaiapoi as soon as her repairs are completed. We have been informed that the repairs of the s.s. Lord Ashley are proceeding satisfactorily. She will probably resume her old trade again in about a fortnight, A heavy gale was experienced in Auckland harbor on the 28tli ult., which .mused great damage to tho shipping iv harbor. The ship Percy, with a full cargo and 15,0000z5. I of gold, sailed from Auckland for London on tho ' 30th ulfc.
