She left Napier on the 17th May at 4 a.m., ronnded Kidnappevs at 4 p.m., arrived off JBla«khead on the 18th, atood off and on till noon of the 19th, when she bore up for the Kidnappers and came to an anchor at 10 p.m.; left again on Friday 21st, at 6 p.m , in oonsequence of strong S.E. sea driving into the bay. On the 22nd, when 3 miles to eastward of Kidnappers, wind set in from N.E. At noon sighted steamer Lord Ashley. At 6 p.m., hove the vessel to under storm sails, inconsequence of wind having freshened to a gale with increasing sea. Lay hove to till midnight of the 24ih, when the gale moderated and tno wind veered to N. W. On Tuesday, 25th, blowing a gale from N.W.i still hove to; Rale moderated at midnight and wind shifted to southward. Got vessel und«r weigh auain and stood for the land. At 8 a.m. on Wednesday, made the land at Castle Point and ran the vessel for Cape Turnaisain. Arrived off Wangahau and anchored on Thursday, but found too much surf on to land. Landed cargo next day and shipped 17 bales wool and 8 bdls sheepskins ; left Wangahau at 4 p.m., and arrived at Tautane on Saturday, and shipped 14 bales wool; left at 4 p.m., and stood for Waimarama, but found too muoh sea on to land. Rounded Kidnappers at 10 p.m. on Monday, and arrived as above. Capt. Hamilton reports having had very heavy weather since leaving this port. I '/he Ahuriri will leave for Auckland to-day. The 8.8. Lord Ashley, Capt. Worsp, left wellington at noon yesterday for this port. She will steam for Auckland shortly after arrival. The briar Maggie will leave for Sydney as soon as site completes the discharge of her inward oargo.|
