Routledge, Kbnnedt and Co. report at their sale at Meanee on Tuesday last a very large attendance of buyers— the shed aud yards being inconveniently crowded, — the number of persons present having far exceeded the anticipations of the auctioneers, in consequence of the Government prize firing on same day, as well as a most disagreeable wind blowing all day raising such clouds of dust as to make it anything but agreeable either for travelling or for remaining at the sale yards. About 90 head of cattle were brought to the hammer, and all sold at good prices, especially the younjj; stock, for which there was very spirited competition. Horses, being a drug iv the market, did not realise so much as they ought to have done, considering they were the progeny of such well known draught horses as the Major and Conqueror. Sheep, being only a small lot, sold from 2s. 6d. to ss. 3d.
