AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.
Auckland, March 18, 1869. lIESSBS. Caroy and Gillies held a sale of fat cattle, &c, on Wednesday, numbering 50 head of provincial cattle, which sold at from 82s. 6d. to 355. per cwfc. There was a vory large attendance of the trade, aud the bidding was very spirited. Napier sheep, ex Ahurin, fetched 9s. Gd. to 10s. 6d. j Wnnganui sheep, 14s. to 15s. 6d. ; puro merinos, fat, 12s. to Vis. 9d. MesTs. Hunter and Co. held a sale of cattle, sheep, and pigs, yesterday, when there waa a largo attendance, and the bidding was Brisk. The following are some of the quotations :— Bullocks, from £9 to £12; heifers, £10: dairy cow», £9 105. ; sheep, fat, as high as 155. ; lambs, 95. ; fat pigs, £2 2s. 6d.
